1. Introduction and acceptance
Welcome to Netlaga ("the app", "we"), an app by RidersOn. By using the app or creating an account you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these terms. If you disagree with any part of them, do not use the app. These terms are read together with the Privacy Policy, which is part of them.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Anyone under 18 uses the app with a guardian's knowledge and consent, and the guardian is responsible for that use. By using the app you confirm you meet this condition.
3. Your account
Registration is by mobile number only, through a code sent by SMS; there is no email and no password. The service is currently available to numbers from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries. Important: there is no other way to recover an account, so whoever can no longer receive SMS on their number loses the account. You alone are responsible for everything posted from your account, and you may not use a name that passes you off as someone else.
4. What Netlaga is
An app that keeps everything about a group's gathering (family or friends) in one place: the chat, planning, items, who has arrived, rotations, and the kitty ledger. Nobody is added to a group or gathering without accepting the invitation themselves.
5. Rules of conduct
You may not use the app in any way that breaks applicable law; involves harassment, threats, hate speech or sexual or violent content; impersonates another person; posts abusive or misleading content; sends unwanted or commercial invitations or messages; collects other users' data; or attempts to bypass security or reach data that is not yours.
6. Groups and gatherings
Each group has an admin (or several) who manages its settings and members; if the admin leaves, the role passes automatically to the longest-standing member. The admin is responsible for running the group and a gathering's creator for the accuracy of its details. Netlaga is a coordination tool only: it does not organise or supervise gatherings and does not verify participants' identities, and taking part in any gathering is at your own responsibility. Netlaga bears no liability for harm or loss arising from a gathering coordinated through the app.
7. The kitty is not a wallet
The kitty is a ledger of balances between members only. No money passes through Netlaga; we neither transfer nor hold funds nor mediate their collection. Transfers happen between you outside the app, and the app records what members entered and confirmed. Correcting a wrong expense or transfer is between the members themselves, and Netlaga is not responsible for any financial dispute between them. A group cannot be deleted unless its kitty is at zero, to protect its members' balances.
8. Chat
Each group and each gathering has a chat for its members. Chats are not end-to-end encrypted, and you are responsible for what you send. You can delete your own message, which removes it with its files, and mute any group or choose which notifications reach you from it. We may access and keep messages when necessary to investigate an abuse report or meet a legal obligation.
9. Numbers and contacts
Your mobile number is shown only to people who share a group or gathering with you, so the app can show them your name as saved on their phone. By inviting someone by number you confirm you have a legitimate basis to use their number this way. The contacts permission is optional, and contacts are read on your device only.
10. Location
Arrival check-in by location, sharing a location in chat and choosing a gathering's place are all optional and need your permission. The app does not track your location and stores no coordinates other than the point you choose on the map. We do not guarantee location accuracy, and these features may not be used to track or harass anyone.
11. Content you create
What you post remains yours. By posting it you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store it and show it inside the app to your group's members as far as providing the service requires. You confirm you have the right to post it and that it infringes nobody's rights. We reserve the right to remove content that breaches these terms without prior notice.
12. Moderation
We may review reports and remove content or suspend accounts that breach these terms. Our decisions aim to protect users, and you may contest them through the email in section 20.
13. Intellectual property
All rights in the app, including the name "Netlaga", the logo, design, code and content we create, belong to RidersOn or are licensed to it. The app may not be copied, modified, redistributed or reverse-engineered without prior written permission.
14. Third-party services
The app relies on third-party services including Firebase, Google Cloud, Google Maps and EmailJS, and your use of them through the app is subject to their terms and policies. The detailed list is in the Privacy Policy.
15. Suspension and deletion
We may suspend or terminate your account, temporarily or permanently, if you breach these terms or use the app in a way that harms users or the service. You may delete your account yourself at any time from Settings; see the Delete account page for what is deleted and what remains because it belongs to others.
16. Disclaimer
The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. Netlaga is in its first release; we work to keep the service running and the ledger accurate but do not guarantee it is free of faults or uninterrupted, nor the accuracy of what other users post.
17. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, neither Netlaga nor RidersOn is liable for any direct, indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app, including financial disputes between members or anything arising from a gathering coordinated through it. This clause does not limit any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
18. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, whose courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, without prejudice to any mandatory rights you have under the laws of your country of residence.
19. Changes
We may update these terms; any material change is announced in the app, and the last-updated date is at the top of this page. Continuing to use the app after a change takes effect means you accept it.
